While we are bummed about the delay of La Fiesta de Los Osos until 2016, the Bears of the Old Pueblo are ecstatic to announce the Tucson Bear Crawl, a new-for-this-year weekend-long event taking place from January 16-18th, 2015, here in sunny Tucson!
The Tucson Bear Crawl will include many of the great functions you’ve come to love from La Fiesta. We’ll have favorites like our Bear Beer Bust/BBQ, downtown pub crawl, and FUR REAL dance as well as new events like our Bears ...

While we are bummed about the delay of La Fiesta de Los Osos until 2016, the Bears of the Old Pueblo are ecstatic to announce the Tucson Bear Crawl, a new-for-this-year weekend-long event taking place from January 16-18th, 2015, here in sunny Tucson!
The Tucson Bear Crawl will include many of the great functions you’ve come to love from La Fiesta. We’ll have favorites like our Bear Beer Bust/BBQ, downtown pub crawl, and FUR REAL dance as well as new events like our Bears N’ Balls Pinball outing and the Street Car showcase of downtown Tucson. And to give you a preview of La Fiesta 2016, we’ll also be hosting a welcome reception at the new host hotel so that you can check out the property in advance (more info on that coming soon).
While there’s a full schedule of things to do, there’s no registration fee for the Tucson Bear Crawl, though lodging and transportation are on your own. If you can get to Tucson, though, there will be plenty of fun to share with your fellow bears! Check out the schedule of events below and keep your eyes on your email during that weekend for ad hoc outings not on the official schedule.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 16th
5:00-7:00 PM: Welcome Reception @ the La Quinta Inn & Suites (102 N. Alvernon Way, Tucson, AZ 85711) Come out and check out what will be our host hotel for Fiesta 2016. There’ll be a cash bar and snacks will be provided by Old Pueblo Grille (caterer for our Fiesta banquet in 2016).
SATURDAY, JANUARY 17th
2:00-6:00 PM: Streetcar Crawl of Downtown Tucson $4 gets you unlimited rides on the new SunLink Streetcar for 24 hours. Come adventure through the Menlo Park, Downtown, 4th Avenue, and U of A Main Gate areas full of great food, shopping, breweries, tap rooms, and galleries. We suggest meeting at the Mercado San Augustin (100 South Avenida del Convento, Tucson, AZ 85745) for free parking at the western end of the streetcar line.
4:00-6:00 PM: Bear Happy Hour at Good Oak (316 E. Congress, Tucson, AZ 85701)The people at Good Oak have offered drink specials if you mention Tucson Bear Crawl on their line of Arizona craft bears and wines as well as their famous cold-pressed infusions!
6:00-8:00 PM: Dinner at Gentle Ben’s (865 East University Boulevard, Tucson, AZ 85719 ) Join your sojourning brother bears for dinner at a great indie gastropub featuring classic fare and the entire line of Barrio Brewing’s craft beers.
10:00 PM-2:00 AM: FUR REAL Underbear Dance @ Fluxx Studios (414 East 9th Street, Tucson, AZ 85705) Dance the night away in your favorite underwear. $5 will get you in. There’ll be a cash bar.. Proceeds (after costs) will go to the Homeless LGBTQ Youth Project at SAAF and Fluxx
SUNDAY, JANUARY 18th
11:00 AM-1:00 PM: Dim Sum Brunch @ Gee's Garden (1145 North Alvernon Way, Tucson, AZ 85712) Meet in the lobby at 10:45 AM and we will get seated together. Then just point (to the dishes that roll by) and eat. VERY affordable and quite an adventure.
3:00-8:00 PM: Bear Bust and Bear Burgers @ the Venture-N (1239 North 6th Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85705) Come to the Venture for our Bear Crawl Beer Bust and Bear Burgers. $1 drafts & $2.50 pitchers of soda and beer, and the Bears will be serving our amazing $1 gourmet Jell-O shots! $4 gets you a burger or two hot dog with fries and all the fixings including our famous 'Bear Sauce' . We will also be having a 50/50 raffle so bring your CASH! FREE HIV/STI Testing by Pima County Health Department all evening!
MONDAY, JANUARY 19th
10:00 AM-1:00 PM: Adios Amigos Brunch @ the Old Pueblo Grille (60 North Alvernon Way, Tucson, AZ 85711) Come join your fellow Bears and get one more chance to sample the wonderful food of the Fiesta 2016 caterer.
