About the Star
Patti Hannon began her Sister habit in 1995, performing Late Nite Catechism in Chicago, then Boston and New York. In 2000 she came to Arizona to star in the production at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, where she has played the role of Sister ever since. Hannon was named “The Best Habit in Town” by Phoenix Magazine and earned an AriZoni Award for Late Nite Catechism’s longevity.
Outside of the habit, she has been seen as Millie in The Bakers of Lakewood and as Woman in Woman and Girl at Space 55 in Phoenix. Hannon appeared as the late environmentalist Gertrude Divine Webster, one of the founders of the Desert Botanical Garden, throughout that organization’s 75th anniversary year. She also teaches adult acting and improvisation classes, and is a visiting artist at local schools. “Patti Hannon is so natural in the role that you really do forget that you are at the theater.” – Phoenix.About.com
