casual local bar

woody's is a nice relaxed place to chill. It's big roomy and clean. Large outdoor bar area with private sitting areas under canopies, a couple of pool tables, well decorated and not so loud music. They serve really good food during the day and have fun drink specials at night. The indoor area is an average size one room bar with a small stage at the front. There's not really a dance area anymore. The bartendes are nice and cute. Great place to keroke!

Great local bar

Woody's is my favorite bar in Tucson. The owners and staff are always organizing new events, very involved in the commumity. A wonderful watering hole for regulars and newcomers!

Nice, nice bar

Pretty place, lots of varied video (sports, LOGO, soft-core pictures) inside, and a really hot, built bartender named Andrew. I like nice bars, and this one is my first stop when I'm in Tucson. It has a decent mix of guys and girls, a really extensive selection of liquor and my favorite draft, Fat Tire. I thought it was really nice that I got to meet the owner. Tucson's not a real big city, so I must have stood out as a 'new face'. The crowd seemed a little cliquish at first, but Andrew, the bartender, helped with that. The only downside was that on a couple of other occasions, when it wasn't that busy, it did take a while to get another drink, and besides Andrew and Peter (I think that was his name), the other bartenders didn't have such great memories or be very fast. Late afternoons and Sunday Brunch time are the best times to come here. Definitely a nice bar that the owner tries to keep that way.
