ABOUT THE FILM
“A palpable pleasure to watch” (Variety), the comedy/drama chronicles five financially strapped men from very different walks of life who are hired to paint the center stripe along 120 miles of Mexican state highway.
The Thin Yellow Line swept four awards during its World Premiere at the 2015 Guadalajara Film Festival (Best Screenplay, Special Jury Prize, Audience Award, and Mexican Film Critics Award), and went on to win Best Latin-American Film at the Montreal Film Festival. Short-listed for Mexico’s entry for the Academy Awards, the film is produced by Guillermo del Toro, Bertha Navarro (Pan’s Labyrinth) and Alejandro Springall (John Sayles’ Casa de los Babys).
